About the Author

Dr. Ella Kariais an Educational and Parenting Consultant. As an Associate Researcher and Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Toronto she was a Research Team Member for the Canadian Early Learning and Child Care Innovations Toolkit. For the past two decades, she continued to teach in the elementary public school board, working with families in Canada developing resources, programs and techniques to engage learners.  She is the honourable recipient of the OISE Excellence Award at the University of Toronto for her outstanding contributions in research and teaching.
